Mongolian ContortioN Workshop
Although its been a while since we've been able to go to the circus, most of us will probably not forget the first time we saw the performers who could fold themselves in half and effortlessly sit on their own heads. How did they do that? Do they have no bones in their bodies? What kind of training did they do to get there? Is this something that I could explore?
Join us as we answer these questions and introduce you to the world of Mongolian Contortion. Mongolian contortion is one of the longest standing styles of contortion and practiced by high level performers all over the world. This course teaches different Mongolian Contortion flows and bridging variations such as Cheststands, Chinstands, Crocodiles and Forearmstands. Depending on ability and condition, hand-balancing preparations may also be introduced to students.
Coach Narlton has had over 13 years of experience in teaching adults and has been specifically teaching contortion for 4 years now. He is the first and only certified Mongolian Contortion teacher in Hong Kong. He has personally made 7 trips to Mongolia to hone his skills at the source. As one of the most experienced contortion coaches in Hong Kong, Narlton excels at being able to relate to his student's struggles and bringing the best out of them.
This workshop serves as an introduction to the discipline, and from there, students can expect to progress onwards with our weekly classes.
