Steph is a movement teacher, professional dancer, and lifelong learner. She has taught for various athletic centers and performing arts organizations in New York City, Colorado, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, and France; and continues to share her practice internationally. In a past life, she has also worked for an investment bank, taught teacher training for an international fitness chain, ran a dance and gymnastics program for kids, cofounded a non profit, and a boutique corporate wellness company. A recent Hong Kong transplant, she moved from New York to start Trybe with her fellow co-founders, never doubting the dream.
Her students include professional dancers, circus artists, athletes with persistent injuries and neuromotor conditions, corporate leaders who want greater resilience in their bodies, and regular folks seeking the joy and empowerment that comes from a physical practice. he believes in bringing out the best in people.
Steph counts the Fighting Monkey practice, Flying Low technique, contact improvisation, Brazilian JiuJitsu, contemporary dance, tai chi, the Ido Portal method, numerous training partners, and her family among her greatest influences. An aspiring martial artist, she competes regularly in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for Unity BJJ International, under the black belt Murilo Santana.
