Boy’s Gymnastics is an introduction to the different events seen in men’s gymnastics competitions. This semester will start with the floor, high bar, and rings. Students who graduate from Ninja 2 or Junior Gymnastics are required to have baseline athletic abilities including becoming comfortable with bars, strong grip strength, and the ability to kick up to a handstand.
In Boy’s Gymnastics, students will move at their own pace as they master the fundamentals to prepare them for higher-level skills. Because gymnastics is a progressive sport, gymnasts of differing levels can be taught side by side as they work on different skills. We use the rings and bars to develop strength, and the floor to develop coordination.
